Individual Therapy

We are broken through relationships.

Think back over your life… Now, imagine one person you could add to your life story that would’ve made a difference. Someone that might’ve changed something that you desperately missed.

Maybe an older brother? A sister? A mentor? A best friend?

What void does this person fill?

Relationships are what help us connect to the world.

They also can be damaging.

Maybe you weren’t taught how to love yourself or were constantly reminded of everything you did wrong. As a result, you are unable to form meaningful relationships.

Perhaps, you are searching for a way to change the brokenness in your relationships.

It’s time to make a positive connection to the world. But how?

Let’s explore that question.

Together, you and I will search for those patterns that are preventing a positive connection.

You’ll discover how to heal those parts and gain control over your life.

Therapy is a space where…

You get what you need. We’ll construct a plan based on what’s not working for you.

Since needs vary with each individual, your needs may involve a need for safety to heal trauma; new coping skills; the ability to be sad, angry, scared, or feel joy; to be challenged; to identify unhealthy patterns; to love yourself; to trust yourself and others; or to identify your boundaries.

Therapy is unique because we get to create the healing you need and want.

I work with your innate resilience to identify what’s holding you back, give a voice to your past, and empower your inner self.

You can be risky and honest.

One of my favorite things about therapy is the relationship that we get to build.

It’s rare to find a space where you’ll get genuine feedback, honesty, and support. This is a space where you get to explore, test, and learn how to embrace yourself.

Clarity develops as we navigate your life, all the good and bad. Experiencing the freedom to be yourself in a nonjudgmental space is life-changing.

Suddenly, your values and goals shine brightly.

I work…

Primarily from a Gestalt perspective, which means I focus on relationship. How are you in relationship with yourself, me, others, society, etc.?

By bringing awareness to relationship, we can identify and shift areas preventing you from living a whole life.

Maybe something in your past is stuck in your present. Or your fear of the future is stopping you from supporting yourself now. How you make connections informs your story. Connection tells the body and mind how to protect itself in danger or remain open to possibility.

I also work with other modalities, such as mindfulness, sensorimotor psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, existential therapy, neurobiology, and more.

Your therapeutic needs are placed first, meaning that we get to form our sessions how you need and want.
